This is called binge drinking. This is a serious problem because heavy drinking impairs a teenagers judgement. Teen drinking can lead to drunken driving and risky sexual behavior.
Dealing with Teen Drinking
The first step to dealing with teen drinking is identifying it. Some of the most visible signs are slurred speech and smelling alcohol on a childs breath. More apparent sign is missing alcohol or finding empty alcohol containers.
If you recognize this as a problem with your teen or with another child, it is important to seek help. There are many recommended drug and alcohol counselors available. Also, you can look online to find more resources and information about this problem.
